Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift gave fans something to talk about on Monday after their apparent rift was squashed, with the pair sitting together for the Chiefs’ game against the Saints

A video released behind the scenes at the Kansas City Chiefs win over the New Orleans Saints shows Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes hugging despite their apparent rift.

Swift is seen walking out of a walkway toward a private area in which some people had been together with fans screaming as she is seen with her father, Scott Swift, before Brittany runs into the shot and hugs her. She then hugs Swift’s father before moving to another room.

This past week, Mahomes posted an Instagram story that read: “Be the reason why people believe in beautiful souls, kind hearts, and good energy. Never stop being a good person.”

Mahomes and Swift have had numerous reported fall-outs when it comes to their political takes and other instances, but they continue to show that they remain friends. The two have dispelled a rift on multiple occasions now, after Swift attended Patrick’s 29th birthday party as well as the U.S. Open tennis at Flushing Meadows together.

And according to the Daily Mail, Swift and Mrs. Mahomes agreed on a “pact” not to discuss their political differences in August, with them appearing to be on opposite sides.

Despite the two hugging and still clearly being friends with one another, they did sit apart at the game on Monday night, with Swit sat with her father and Travis’ parents in a private suite, while Mahomes had been with her family.

How Brittany Mahomes Really Feels About Taylor Swift Friendship

A rift was reported between the two due to their differing political views

Once fans found out that Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and Taylor Swift, girlfriend of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, supported different political candidates, many believed it was the end of their friendship.

That speculation was further fueled when the two sat in separate suites during the Chiefs’ season-opening win over the Baltimore Ravens on “Thursday Night Football” back on Sept. 5 after Brittany’s apparent support of presidential candidate Donald Trump through a number of social media posts.

However, any supposed rift between the two was ultimately debunked after it was revealed Swift sat in a suite with Kelce’s mom to spend some quality time together while Brittany spent time in her suite with her own family.

And in the weeks since that incident, their friendship seems to be in a good place. So much so, in fact, that The Sun recently reported that despite their political differences, Brittany and Swift are closer than ever.

“They love the fact that they share many of the same values, even if they can have different opinions on some topics,” a source told The Sun. “They are more than friends, they are family members which is the most important thing of all.”

The Mahomes’ even went as far as to want to make Kelce and Swift the godparents of their unborn third child.

The Daily Mail reported last month that Trump’s “I hate Taylor Swift” social media posts were so personally hurtful that it actually caused Brittany to rethink her political affiliation.

If there was any speculation that the two weren’t on good terms or that they were purposely avoiding each other at Chiefs games, it seems to have died down with as much time as they’ve spent together publicly in recent weeks.

Patrick and Kelce have kept their personal beliefs out of the public eye, and their friendship hasn’t been affected by anything that’s been reported in the media.
