“Did You Just Lie Under Oath?” Democrat Presses Bondi on Trump’s Name in Epstein Files

“Answer the Question”: Democrat Challenges Bondi on Trump References in Epstein Case

“I Believe You Just Lied Under Oath”: Bombshell Epstein Files Witness Statement Links Trump and Prince Andrew to Abuser Network in Explosive Hearing

The atmosphere inside the Rayburn House Office Building was thick with tension today as the House Judiciary Committee convened for an oversight hearing that quickly descended into a historic confrontation. Attorney General Pam Bondi, tasked with leading the Department of Justice under President Donald Trump, found herself at the center of a firestorm as Democratic lawmakers accused her of orchestrating a massive cover-up to protect elite abusers within the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking network. The hearing, which was meant to address the DOJ’s handling of the unsealed Epstein files, reached a fever pitch when Representative Robert Garcia (D-CA) presented evidence that he claimed proved the Attorney General had committed perjury on live television.

The Prince Andrew Redaction Scandal

The confrontation began with a focused inquiry into the Department of Justice’s decision to close the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged third-party abusers in July 2025. Rep. Garcia produced two specific photographs for the committee to view. These images, which featured former Prince Andrew alongside a victim of Epstein’s operation, had been redacted to protect the victim’s identity—a move Bondi confirmed was done in accordance with the federal Victims Trafficking Protection Act.

However, the Representative used this admission to trap the Attorney General in a logical corner. By acknowledging the redaction under that specific law, Garcia argued that the DOJ had effectively established that the woman in the photo was a confirmed victim of sex trafficking. “Anyone who patronizes Epstein’s sex operation is also guilty of a crime,” Garcia stated. He then lambasted the Attorney General for a July 2025 DOJ memo which claimed the department “did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.”

Garcia pointed directly at the photos of Prince Andrew, calling them “evidence staring you in the face.” He demanded to know why Bondi had shut down the investigation and failed to prosecute the former royal. Bondi’s response—that Garcia had not asked similar questions of former Attorney General Merrick Garland—was quickly brushed aside as Garcia admitted that while Garland and others had “dropped the ball,” the responsibility now rests solely on Bondi’s shoulders.

The Limo Driver’s Chilling Testimony

The most explosive segment of the hearing occurred when the discussion shifted to President Donald Trump’s presence within the Epstein files. When Bondi dismissed the inquiry as “ridiculous” and a “deflection from all the great things Donald Trump has done,” asserting there was “no evidence” of any crime, Garcia dropped a legal bombshell.

“I believe you just lied under oath,” Garcia declared, his voice echoing through the silent chamber. “And this is all on videotape.”

He then produced a document from a witness who had contacted the FBI’s National Threat Operation Center. The witness was a limo driver who had allegedly driven Donald Trump to various locations. According to the statement, the driver overheard a phone conversation between Trump and Epstein that was so disturbing he “was going to stop a limo and hurt Donald Trump.”

Most harrowing was the driver’s account of meeting a young girl who claimed she had been raped by both Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein. Garcia noted that this victim later met a violent end, having her “head blown off” in an incident that responding officers allegedly said could not have been a suicide. Despite this statement being in the FBI’s possession, Garcia claimed that no one at the Department of Justice had bothered to interview this witness.

A Demand for Resignation

The hearing culminated in a raw, emotional appeal for justice for the victims of the Epstein network. Garcia noted that there are currently over 1,000 sex trafficking victims identified in the files, yet not a single “patron” of the operation has been held accountable under the current administration.

“Epstein should rot in hell,” Garcia said. “So should the men who patronized his operation.” He ended his time by calling Bondi’s tenure “despicable” and suggesting that if she had any “decency,” she would resign immediately.

Bondi attempted to respond by pivoting to crime rates in California, but her attempts to “ad-lib” were cut off as Garcia reclaimed his time, maintaining that she had not been asked a question but had instead been presented with evidence she failed to investigate.

The Broader Context of Failure

While the hearing focused on Bondi, it highlighted a systemic failure across multiple administrations to bring the full weight of the law down on Epstein’s associates. From Alex Acosta’s controversial 2008 plea deal to Bill Barr and Merrick Garland’s tenures, the Epstein case has been a “string of failures” that has spanned decades. However, the 2026 hearing suggests that the pressure is mounting. The unsealing of the files and the emergence of specific witness statements like the one from the limo driver are making it increasingly difficult for the DOJ to maintain its stance that there is “no evidence” to prosecute.

As the committee adjourned, the political fallout began. The accusation of lying under oath is a serious charge that could lead to further investigations into Bondi’s conduct. For the victims, however, the hearing was a rare moment where the names of the powerful were spoken in the context of accountability, rather than protection.
