The star’s attitude was once again subject to intense debate on social media.

Angel Reese has once again found herself at the center of controversy after a heated moment during a game in the Unrivaled league, where she was seen shouting at her coach following her expulsion from the match as fans slam her online.
The incident has reignited discussions about her fiery playing style and attitude on the court, as the 22-year-old continues to prove she’s unafraid of saying what she thinks at any given moment; especially if she feels disrespected.
Reese, a rising WNBA star, has been using the offseason to compete in the Unrivaled league in South Florida, an alternative for players who prefer to stay in the United States rather than play overseas for additional income.
The league based in Miami, is known for its competitive three-on-three format and that heated competition saw tensions boil over on Friday night when the ex-LSU Tiger fouled out during a game between her team, Rose Basketball Club, and the Lunar Owls.
A controversial foul call marked the end of her night, a decision that did not sit well with the star forward as she angrily directed her thoughts toward her coach, demanding a challenge on the call to keep her in the game.
She had been a dominant force up until that moment and had posted 22 points and 21 rebounds, which may have fueled her temper. Eventually, Rose BC went on to secure the win and ended the Lunar Owls’ eight-game winning run.
Fans split over Reese’s heated moment
But despite the win, Reese‘s passionate response has once again divided opinions. While some see her intensity as a sign of dedication and competitiveness, others believe her actions were disrespectful as social media quickly erupted with debate.
One user headed to X.com, formerly Twitter, to say, “Why’s she so disrespectful?”
And another added, “She looks like she went to a game with her father.”

Despite the criticism, many fans came to her defense, arguing that her passion for the game should not be mistaken for poor sportsmanship.
One supporter on X suggested that her detractors would ultimately be “on the wrong side of history” and the star herself did not shy away from addressing the controversy. Responding to the backlash, Reese posted on X.com, “no. tell them stay on that side. Please.”
