Missing Out on $19.8 million Upgrade, Angel Reese Forced to Root for LSU Tigers From Distance!
Angel Reese is fully embracing her offseason after a stellar rookie year with the Chicago Sky, even if it ended on a bittersweet note due to an injury. Already a talented player in her own right, she’s also branching out to enjoy other sports.
Just a couple of weeks ago, she was seen at a football game in Los Angeles, soaking in the excitement of the game. Well, Reese’s passion for football is likely to grow even more, especially as her alma mater’s stadium undergoes a rejuvenation that has left her in awe.
Recently, The Bengal Tiger, LSU’s news alert and marketing leader, shared an exciting update on their X account. They unveiled a sneak peek of the rejuvenated Tiger Stadium, which received a remarkable $19.8 million funding in honor of its 100th season this year.
The post simply read, “TIGER STADIUM MAGIC.” Even though Angel Reese graduated from LSU last year, she couldn’t help but feel the excitement when she saw the clip.
The Sky forward dropped a comment, “like the stadium looks so lit😭😫i need to go to a gameeee.” Although she missed the inaugural game at the upgraded venue, catching an LSU Tigers football game in the future will require some serious travel. After all, her current home in Chicago is over 900 miles away from Louisiana. The Tigers have already kicked off with a win against the Ole Miss Rebels in their stunning new stadium.
But Reese’s enthusiasm is hard to miss. Even from distance, she was all charged after the team’s victory.
She later tweeted, “geaux tigersssss LET’S GOOOO!” It sounds like the Chi-Town Barbie is ready to make the journey to experience the excitement of the newly upgraded stadium, not wanting to miss out on the action in her former college’s big 100th season. After all, those impressive upgrades to the stadium are worth experiencing, especially for a rookie who’s been embracing her love for football during the offseason!

The university pulled out all the stops to celebrate this milestone in various exciting ways.

The Tigers have also unveiled a fresh field design, complete with end zone logos that reflected the exterior pattern of the stadium. o commemorate this centennial milestone, the organizers prominently displayed special 100-year anniversary logos at the 25-yard lines, right across from the SEC logo.
The teams tied at the end of regulation, pushing the game into overtime and adding an extra layer of excitement for those witnessing the action in the newly revamped stadium.Even though Reese watched from afar, her enthusiasm was evident in her jubilant tweets celebrating the team’s victory.
This highlights not only Reese’s deep affection for her alma mater but also her budding interest in football. Just a few weeks ago, she attended the Los Angeles Rams game against the San Francisco 49ers, soaking in the electric atmosphere.
