The Indiana Fever were looking to win their sixth-consecutive game against the Minnesota Lynx on September 6. The Fever have been on a 7-1 hot streak since returning from Olympic break. The only team to defeat Indiana during the second half of the season, however, was the Lynx.

While Clark became the fastest player in WNBA history to record 200+ assists with 200+ rebounds against the Lynx, and broke Kelsey Mitchell’s franchise record for most threes in a season (103 and counting), Indiana fell apart in third quarter. While Clark scored a team-high 25 points, with 8.0 rebounds and 8.0 assists, the Fever lost 99-88.

According to the Indy Star’s Chloe Peterson, McCaffery, along with Haliburton, stood up to applaud for every major Fever play.

Before the game started, McCaffery made it clear that he was also a huge fan of Clark’s pregame outfit. He posted a photo of his girlfriend on his Instagram Stories with the “ahem” emoji.
