Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese are rivals in the WNBA but core teammates for Rose Basketball Club in the upstart Unrivaled league
The debut Unrivaled season is winding down – and one of the league’s stars has been Angel Reese of Rose Basketball Club (and the WNBA’s Chicago Sky).
Lexi Hull plays with (and is a good friend of) Caitlin Clark on the Indiana Fever as well as Chelsea Gray for Rose BC, so she knows a thing or two about playing alongside superstars. Following the team’s recent 71-58 win over Phantom BC, Hull had nothing but praise for the Sky forward.
“I would say her competitiveness is just so evident,” Hull said.. “It’s obvious in practice. We do shooting competitions, she’s the loudest one in the gym. She’s getting in your face if she wins. I mean, like, you hear her and you feel her.”
“I think, as a teammate, that’s awesome. And it’s great to have her on your side. You see that come out in the game: she’s hyping everybody on the team up, you miss a shot, she’s there for you. I think that just really has stuck out to me.”
Reese is averaging 13.2 points and a league-best 11.7 rebounds per night for the 5-4 Rose BC, currently tied for second place in the league (top four reach the playoffs). Her 23 points and 14 rebounds against Phanton BC was Univaled’s first-ever 20+ point double-double.
“It’s so much I can say,” Reese said after the game. “But for me, to keep going, it’s hard. It is hard. To live my life isn’t easy.

“And I don’t want to get emotional, but that’s why I put the work in every day, because there are little girls that look up to me, there are the college girls that look up to me, and just being able to be an inspiration every day.
“Being able to see my growth, I put in the work, and a lot of people don’t see what I put in,” she continued. “It’s great to see the results out there. But obviously, I’m not done yet.”
While Reese provides the force inside, Gray offers most of the scoring punch for Rose BC: the Los Angeles Aces guard leads the team with 19.1 points a night.
Hull, who shot 47.1 percent from deep for the Fever in 2024, provides critical three-point shooting for Rose BC. She averages 5.5 points and 2.5 rebounds for the second-place side.
League co-founder Napheesa Collier and her Lunar Owls BC top the Unrivaled standings with a near-perfect 9-1 record. The Minnesota Lynx star is averaging a league-best 26.6 points a contest.
