THE $250 MILLION “COINCIDENCE”: Is Mayor Frey’s War on ICE a Smokescreen for His Wife’s Ties to the “Feeding Our Future” Fraud Scandal?
MINNEAPOLIS — The streets of Minneapolis are currently a battleground. On one side, federal agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of Homeland Security are conducting what they call “targeted enforcement operations.” On the other side, protesters, activists, and city officials—led by Mayor Jacob Frey—are engaging in what can only be described as open rebellion against federal authority.

But amidst the tear gas, the fireworks, and the political grandstanding, a darker, more insidious narrative is emerging. It is a story that suggests the chaos on the streets may be a convenient distraction from a rot that goes deep into the heart of City Hall.
A viral investigative report has blown the lid off a connection that the mainstream media has largely ignored: the link between Mayor Jacob Frey, his wife Sarah Clarke, and the $250 million “Feeding Our Future” fraud scandal—the largest pandemic relief fraud in United States history.
The “Invasion” Narrative vs. The Reality of Fraud
To understand the gravity of the accusations, one must first look at the current state of the city. Minneapolis feels like a city under siege. Mayor Frey has publicly characterized the presence of federal agents as an “invasion,” painting a picture of rogue troopers storming a peaceful city to terrorize immigrants.
However, the counter-narrative suggests that the “invasion” is actually a necessary intervention in a state that has become a playground for fraudsters. The “Feeding Our Future” scandal is not ancient history; it is an open wound.
Federal prosecutors allege that a network of non-profits and community leaders conspired to steal over $250 million in federal funds intended to feed hungry children during the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of buying food, the money bought Porsches, real estate in Kenya and Turkey, and coastal mansions.
“Imagine if that city or that town was suddenly invaded by thousands of federal agents,” the video report posits. “But imagine if that same city had just lived through one of the largest fraud cases in American history.”
The question being asked by independent investigators is simple but devastating: Does Mayor Frey want the Feds out because they are disrupting the city, or because they are getting too close to the truth?

The Wife, The Lobbyist, and The Law Firm
The bombshell at the center of this controversy involves Sarah Clarke, the First Lady of Minneapolis.
According to public records and the investigative report, Clarke worked as a lobbyist and government liaison for “Hylden Advocacy and Law.” This was not just any law firm. Hylden Advocacy provided legal representation and lobbying services to “Feeding Our Future,” the very NGO at the heart of the massive fraud scheme.
The report details how Hylden Advocacy acted as a shield for the fraudulent organization. They helped the non-profit navigate regulatory hurdles, appearing in court alongside its founder, Aimee Bock, who is now facing federal charges. The firm’s tagline, “Your Friend at the Capital,” takes on a sinister tone in retrospect.
“Sarah Clarke… served as a lobbyist and a government liaison for Hilden Advocacy and Law,” the report states. “The firm… provided legal representation and lobbying services to Feeding Our Future… appearing in court alongside the founder.”
While there is no evidence currently suggesting that Sarah Clarke herself committed fraud, the proximity is alarming. Why was the Mayor’s wife working for a firm that was deeply embedded with an organization running a quarter-billion-dollar criminal enterprise? And more importantly, did her influence or access play a role in how long the scheme was allowed to continue undetected?
The City Hall “Ecosystem” of Corruption
If this were an isolated incident, it might be dismissed as a coincidence. But the report highlights a pattern of corruption that surrounds Mayor Frey like a cloud.
The “Feeding Our Future” indictments did not just catch low-level scammers; they reached right into the Mayor’s office.
Abdi Salah: A Senior Policy Aide for Mayor Frey was indicted in connection with the fraud.
Sharmarke Issa: Appointed by Frey to chair the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority, Issa was also charged.
Ali Nadir: A member of a mayor-appointed community safety work group, also implicated.
“This fraud wasn’t very far away,” the narrator explains. “It was close enough that the people in his orbit were charged and prosecuted.”
This creates a terrifying picture of the “ecosystem” in Minneapolis politics. It is a world where non-profits, lobbyists, campaign donors, and city officials are inextricably linked. Money flows from the taxpayers to the non-profits, from the non-profits to the lobbyists, and from the lobbyists (and donors) to the politicians.
When Mayor Frey stands on a podium and demands that federal law enforcement leave his city, is he protecting his constituents, or is he protecting this ecosystem?

“They Invented Children”: The Hogmall Media Scandal
To illustrate the brazen nature of the fraud, the report focuses on a specific case involving “Hogmall Media.”
According to court documents, this media company—which had absolutely nothing to do with food service or child care—was registered as a federal child nutrition program meal site.
The internal emails revealed in the investigation are damning. A Feeding Our Future worker emailed the founder, Aimee Bock, warning: “We took a lot of organizations that don’t work with children… Hogmall is a TV show program. They have no interest with children. These are things we need to clean up.”
Bock’s alleged response? “Yes, I agree.”
And yet, despite this explicit acknowledgment that the site was illegitimate, Feeding Our Future wrote Hogmall Media checks totaling $494,000.
“These children were simply invented,” federal prosecutors stated. The defendants are accused of lying about serving meals to thousands of phantom children a day, pocketing the cash for themselves.
This is the level of criminality that was operating unchecked in Minneapolis. And it is this level of criminality that the current federal “surge” threatens to expose even further.
Trump’s Ultimatum: The Insurrection Act
The chaos in Minneapolis has caught the attention of the highest office in the land. President Donald Trump, observing the clashes between his federal agents and what he calls “professional agitators,” has issued a stark ultimatum.
In a post on Truth Social, the President threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act if local leaders do not restore order.
“If the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don’t obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the patriots of ICE… I will institute the Insurrection Act,” Trump wrote.
The video report highlights a specific incident on the 600 block of 24th Avenue North, where an ICE agent was forced to discharge his weapon during a struggle. The subsequent riot involved fireworks being thrown at officers and tear gas filling the streets.
For the President, this is a breakdown of the rule of law. For Mayor Frey, it is a political rallying cry. But for the average citizen, it is a terrifying escalation. If the Insurrection Act is invoked, active-duty military troops could be deployed to American streets, bypassing the Mayor and the Governor entirely.

The Somali Connection and the “Third Rail”
The report also touches on a highly sensitive and controversial aspect of the fraud: the demographic makeup of the defendants. The narrator notes that the vast majority of those indicted in the “Feeding Our Future” scandal are from the Somali community.
“Minnesota’s Somali community has been an epicenter of multiple fraud schemes,” the report alleges, citing a $14 million housing scam and hundreds of millions in autism service fraud.
This adds a layer of racial and cultural tension to the standoff. Mayor Frey and his allies argue that the federal crackdown is racially motivated, targeting a specific minority group. However, critics argue that the fraud is real, the theft is documented, and the community leaders involved must be held accountable regardless of their background.
The report suggests that the “racism” defense is being used as a shield to deflect from the crimes. “When these politicians say this isn’t about fraud… people will respond with, ‘Really? Was the whole point of this I mean we just watched $250 million disappear?'”
Why the “Feds Out” Narrative Matters
The timing of Mayor Frey’s aggressive stance against ICE is suspicious to many observers. The “Feeding Our Future” investigation is still ongoing. The US Attorney has stated that they are “just touching the tip of the iceberg.”
If the fraud was this pervasive, involving hundreds of millions of dollars and reaching into the Mayor’s own staff, what else is buried in the files of Minneapolis non-profits?
“Does he not want the Feds on his back?” the narrator asks. “The state has a lawsuit arguing that the federal government is using fraud as a justification for the ICE surge… but Minnesota already had a real documented fraud scandal on the books.”
If federal agents are allowed to roam the city, arrest suspects, and seize documents, the delicate house of cards that supports the Minneapolis political machine could come crashing down.
Conclusion: A City on the Brink
Minneapolis is currently a city of two realities.
In one reality, it is a victim of federal overreach, a progressive sanctuary being bullied by a hostile administration. In this reality, Jacob Frey is a hero standing up for his people.
In the other reality, it is a crime scene. It is a city where political connections facilitate the looting of the public treasury, where “non-profits” are money laundering fronts, and where the Mayor’s own family and staff are uncomfortably close to the action.
As the tear gas clears and the threat of military intervention looms, the people of Minnesota are left with burning questions. Did their Mayor sell them out? Is the “resistance” just a cover-up? And where, exactly, did that quarter of a billion dollars go?
One thing is certain: The Feds aren’t leaving. And if the “tip of the iceberg” was $250 million, the rest of the mountain might be enough to sink the entire city government.
