“F**k the Bruins”: Brad Marchand’s Stanley Cup heroics with Panthers reignite backlash over Bruins trade decision

Brad Marchand, the former captain of the Boston Bruins ended up taking a shot at the Boston Bruins during his day with the Stanley Cup, which he took back home to Nova Scotia.

Heading into free agency, there were some rumors that the Boston Bruins were going to reunite with their former captain after he won the Stanley Cup.

He would have been the biggest move the Boston Bruins made, considering they only signed bottom-six players.

Ultimately, Marchand ended up re-signing with the Florida Panthers to a six-year deal.

Last week, Marchand ended up having his day with the Stanley Cup, where he ended up bringing it back to Nova Scotia.

During his celebration he ended up taking a subtle shot at the Boston Bruins while at a Tim Horton’s drive-thru.

NHL’s official Keeper of the Stanley Cup, Philip Pritchard stated that Brad Marchand ended up ordering a Boston Cream donut at Tim’s before canceling it and saying “uhh, maybe i better not.”

The Panthers got Marchand at a much cheaper price then he could have got on the open market, and Marchand is not expected to play out his entire contract.

People feel like the Florida Panthers are circumventing the salary cap with Marchand’s new deal considering he will be 43 whenever his contract expires.

Marchand did want to end his career with the Boston Bruins, but after the fallout they had during the NHL trade deadline it’s hard to see them reuniting at the end of his career.

Brad Marchand’s Off-Season Shenanigans Continue as He Replicates His Own Photo with the Stanley Cup

Florida Panthers forward Brad Marchand is making the most of his offseason, continuing a series of light-hearted and humorous moments as he celebrates his Stanley Cup win.

As the Florida Panthers relish their back-to-back Stanley Cup wins, Brad Marchand has been front and center, proudly showcasing his joy and embracing the festivities.

The 38-year-old veteran played a crucial role in Florida’s championship run last season, tallying 10 goals and 20 points across 23 playoff games.

In one of his latest off-ice antics, Marchand recreated a hilarious moment from 14 years ago — eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch out of the Stanley Cup. The moment was originally captured during his first Cup win in 2011 with the Boston Bruins.

As per B/R Open Ice on X:

“In 2011, Brad Marchand ate Cinnamon Toast Crunch out of the Stanley Cup. So 14 years later, he had to eat Cinnamon Toast Crunch out of the Stanley Cup again.”

Earlier in the offseason, Marchand was also seen visiting Tim Hortons with the Cup. In classic fashion, he humorously noted that he would not be eating a Boston Cream donut — an intentional jab at his former team, the Boston Bruins.
Marchand even trolled Toronto Maple Leafs fans this offseason, by hinting at a possible signing with the team — only to reveal it was all in jest, with no real intention of joining the Leafs.

While Marchand’s off-ice personality is as bold as his on-ice play, there’s no denying he’s earned the right to celebrate however he sees fit. With multiple Stanley Cups to his name and a legacy of clutch performances, he continues to prove why he’s one of the game’s greats, on and off the ice.
