After the Florida Panthers won against the Utah Hockey Club, Brad Marchand was seen collecting the plastic toy rats that fans had thrown on the ice.
TV Rinkside reporter for Florida Panthers, Katie Engleson, shared a heartfelt video on X of Brad Marchand collecting rats after the win, and fans are here for it.
A fan commented, “Of course Marchand would collect a couple of rats as souvenirs”, while another fan wrote, “The man takes absolute glee in this stuff as any #NHLBruins fan can tell you. Flourish, Marchy, flourish.”

As per ESPN, Brad Marchand clarified that he was collecting the plastic rats for his children.
Brad Marchand said, “Yeah, it was one of the things that my kids said right away. They were asking about the rats being thrown out there, and I was like, ‘I don’t know when it happens, but if it does, I’ll grab a couple.”
As Brad Marchand played his first game for the Florida Panthers after playing for the Boston Bruins for sixteen years, fans of his former team have been pretty emotional about it.
