Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce responded to Jason Kelce’s reaction after a fan made a provocative comment about Swift and Travis during Jason’s appearance on College GameDay.

Former NFL star Jason Kelce appeared to slam a fan’s phone to the ground after being confronted with a derogatory question regarding his brother Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. The incident took place while Jason was making an appearance on College GameDay on Saturday. As he walked through a crowd, a fan reportedly yelled, “Kelce, how does it feel that your brother’s a f***ing Taylor Swift?” In response, Jason turned to the large crowd, seemed to grab the phone from someone’s hand, threw it onto the concrete, and then continued walking as fans shouted his name. Kelce was in town for Penn State’s matchup with Ohio State at Beaver Stadium and later appeared on ESPN’s College GameDay alongside Pat McAfee, where he attempted—unsuccessfully—to make two field goals live on TV. McAfee’s weekly challenge invites guests to kick for a chance to win a $100,000 donation to charity, but both of Kelce’s attempts missed widely. “I suck at kicking,” the 36-year-old admitted after his misses. Before the event, Kelce expressed his excitement to his brother on their “New Heights” podcast, saying, “I’m officially going to Happy Valley up to Penn State this week to try and kick. I’ve never been to Penn State, Happy Valley.”

Jason Kelce slammed a Penn State football fan’s phone on the ground after taunts and a homophobic slur were said toward him on Saturday ahead of the Nittany Lions’ matchup against Ohio State at Beaver Stadium.

While walking behind Jason, a fan can be heard saying: “Kelce, how does it feel that your brother is a fa— for dating Taylor Swift?”

After appearing to hear the question, Jason turned around and appeared to take the phone of the fan who said the slur and throw it on the ground. The fan then demanded Jason give him the phone back, to which Jason said: “Who’s the fa— now?”

Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and Jason’s brother, started dating pop sensation Taylor Swift after admitting on his podcast, “New Heights,” in the summer of 2023 that he wanted to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it at her Kansas City concert then.

Swift has attended many NFL games since — including the 2024 Super Bowl, which the Chiefs won — with 72.5 percent of NFL players polled by The Athletic saying the singer’s interest in football is positive for the league. (Only 4.9 percent of players polled viewed it as a negative, and 22.5 percent viewed it as neither negative nor positive.)

Jason, the former Philadelphia Eagles center and ESPN analyst, was in State College to appear on “College GameDay,” which was also in town to highlight the top-5 matchup.
