New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu helped the United States women’s basketball team secure a gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics on Sunday.
Following the victory, Ionescu took to social media to share a recap of her Olympic experience, and Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark commented in a supportive note toward the WNBA star.
Ionescu posted a few pictures of the gold medal game, in which the U.S. defeated France 67-66.
“Blessed. Olympic Gold Medalist,” Ionescu captioned the photo.
Caitlin Clark then responded to the Liberty guard, posting three fire emojis.
Clark’s comment comes a few weeks after the Fever guard liked Ionescu’s photos from the Olympics Opening Ceremony.
