After officially taking Paige Bueckers with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, the Dallas Wings didn’t waste time promoting her rivalry with Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark.
Bueckers and Clark have been in each other’s orbit for years now, with both players among the top five high school recruits of the 2020 class. They also faced each other twice during their collegiate years, splitting the matchups with one win each.
After Bueckers won the national championship with the UConn Huskies this 2025, several fans compared her and Clark once again.
The Wings know very well that Bueckers and Clark are often pitted against each other, and so they didn’t shy away from using that fact to announce that tickets for their first game against the Fever are now on sale.
Dallas and Indiana face off on June 27 at the American Airlines Center.
“Talk of the league. Talk of the city. Grab your A Night in Dallas tickets now when we face @indianafever at @aacenter on Friday, June 27.,” the Wings wrote along with a photo featuring Clark and Bueckers to promote the matchup.
Sure enough, fans were absolutely hyped about the potential first pro meeting between Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark.
“This match up will feed families,” a commenter wrote. Another one said, “A must watch matchup.”
“OMGGG IT WILL BE A FUN GAME,” a fan added.
A hyped supporter shared, “This goin be one helluva matchup.”
“IT WILL BE THE HIGHLIGHT OF THR YEAR,” a follower shared.

“Been waiting to see Paige vs Caitlin matchup again,” an excited social media user stated.
While some fans expressed concern about the ticket prices for the game, the excitement for the showdown remains high.
It’s worth noting that the Wings and Fever have four scheduled games during the 2025 season. After their June 27 meeting, they will play again on July 13, Aug. 1 and Aug. 12.
