Angel Reese’s Postgame Interaction With A’ja Wilson Is Going Viral.
The Chicago Sky traveled to Las Vegas on Tuesday to face off against the defending champion Aces. Following Chicago’s 93-85 victory, Sky rookie Angel Reese was seen greeting Aces star A’ja Wilson with a hug.
Wilson and Reese were filmed sharing a short conversation, which had WNBA fans buzzing online. The MVP frontrunner and leading Rookie of the Year candidate showed clear respect for one another during their postgame exchange.
Reese finished the game with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Wilson proved she’s still one of the league’s most dominant players, recording 28 points and 14 rebounds.
Before the matchup between the Aces and the Sky, Wilson was averaging 27.2 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks per game. She leads the league in rebounds and blocks per game.
Reese went into the game averaging 13.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per game. She notched her 17th double-double against the Aces, securing the most by any WNBA player this season.

Reese and Wilson will be back in the same arena on July 20 for the WNBA All-Star game. The 22-year-old rookie will be playing for Team WNBA, while the MVP candidate will be competing for Team USA.
The 2024 All-Star format features a matchup between the Team USA women’s basketball select team, with players like Wilson, Breanna Stewart, and Sabrina Ionescu against a 12-team lineup of league stars.
Reese will be joined by Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark and other top WNBA players, such as Jonquel Jones and Aliyah Boston.
