Connor McDavid put himself into a league of his own Tuesday night when he racked up a goal and three points against the Utah Hockey Club.
The offensive outburst from the Edmonton Oilers captain saw him become the first player in NHL history to have a game with three or more points against 32 teams. He had been tied with Alex Ovechkin, Nathan MacKinnon, Patrick Kane and Nikita Kucherov at 31 before it.
McDavid has made a career out of taking over games and dominating opponents, scoring three or more points in 134 of his 707 regular season games.
In them, he’s scored a stunning amount of points — which makes sense — racking up 157 goals and 455 points, representing 43.5 percent of his career goals and 42.5 percent of his career points.
There are two teams in particular that McDavid has beat up on over his career the Anaheim Ducks and Calgary Flames.

Against the Ducks, he’s had 11 games of three or more points, totalling 11 goals and 35 points. When he takes on the Oilers’ provincial rivals, he’s had 10 games of three or more points, racking up a staggering 18 goals and 32 points.
Beyond Utah, there are three other teams in which he has a singular three-point game: Boston, Buffalo and Detroit, in which he racked up multiple assist performances. The Bruins saw him put up three, the Sabres four, and the Red Wings six.
Tuesday’s game against Utah marked his 11th game this season in which he’s had three-points, which is tied for the second-lowest mark in any single season, pailing in comparison to recent years.
McDavid will have the chance to put up some more three-point games before the season is done, too. The Oilers will face the Sharks three times in their final eight regular season games, while also seeing the Flames, Ducks, and Jets, all of whom he’s racked up points against in the past.
Connor Hellebuyck’s Jets will be the first in the path, as they come to visit Rogers Place Thursday night.
