Brad Marchand’s hilarious reaction to Toronto fans’ chirps
Brad Marchand has played in the NHL since 2009, but it’s hard to imagine he’s had many nights better than Wednesday. The Florida Panthers absolutely humiliated the Toronto Maple Leafs—and Marchand was right in the middle of it, delivering the most hilarious reaction to fans chirping him.

The Maple Leafs had won the first two games of their second-round series against the Panthers. But with the series tied 2-2 and everything on the line in Game 5, they turned in one of their worst performances of the season.
Florida dominated from start to finish, cruising to a 6-1 win and taking a 3-2 series lead. The Panthers now have a chance to advance to the Conference Finals, where they’ll face either the Carolina Hurricanes or the Washington Capitals. Florida’s roster is filled with players who thrive in high-stakes moments—and Brad Marchand is clearly one of them.
Brad Marchand’s hilarious reaction
Marchand picked up an assist on Sam Bennett’s third-period goal, which gave the Panthers a 6-0 lead. But that was just part of his night. He was also involved in several moments that had fans cracking up. At one point, Marchand was heading to the bench, only to realize a scrum had broken out—so he immediately turned and sprinted back toward the action.
Later, as he left the ice, Brad Marchand was heckled by Maple Leafs fans. He absolutely loved it. Cameras caught him staring them down with a huge grin, completely unfazed.
Even ESPN’s Sean McDonough weighed in, pointing to the fact that Toronto fans can’t have very much to chirp Brad Marchand about:
“I don’t know what they’re saying. ‘Yeah, you beat us again?’” McDonough said.
