— NFL’s Favorite Mom Wins Over Swifties and Football Fans Alike as She Cheers for Son Travis and Future Daughter-in-Law, Earning Praise for Her “Cutest Game-Day Look Ever”
The famous football mom was photographed in the ultimate Swiftie-approved accessory
Donna Kelce is showing support for her future daughter-in-law!
The mother of two, 72, was seen rocking the ultimate Swiftie-approved accessory as the Kansas City Chiefs took on the Jacksonville Jaguars for Monday Night Football on Oct. 6.
Cameras caught mama Kelce as she mixed and mingled on the sidelines while watching her youngest son, 36-year-old Travis Kelce, take on the Florida team. However, it was her choice of hat that got people paying attention.
In addition to a red “87” Chiefs jersey — a reference to Travis’s number — Donna wore a white baseball cap with Taylor Swift doodled on the front.
The accessory showed an animated version of the pop star, 35, looking straight-on as she holds onto a pair of “1989” sunshades with one hand.
Monday’s game wasn’t the first time Donna has been spotted wearing the Grammy award winning singer-inspired baseball cap.
On Sunday, Oct. 5, Chiefs tight end Travis celebrated his 36th birthday with Donna as the duo attended a screening of his fiancée Taylor Swift’s The Official Release Party of a Showgirl.
For the special outing, Donna was photographed wearing the hat and standing alongside Travis, her brother Don, and his wife Joan. The whole group wore accessories inspired by Swift’s 12th studio album, including feathered fans and boas fit for a showgirl.
The Super Bowl champion and Swift announced their late summer engagement on Aug. 26 via social media.
Now that her record-shattering Eras Tour is complete and The Life of a Showgirl has been released, the “Love Story” singer is focused on planning her perfect wedding to Travis.
“She’s been super focused on work commitments. She’s not kidding when she says she’s exhausted. She’s ready for a break so she can focus on the wedding,” a source close to Swift exclusively told PEOPLE on Monday, adding, “She’s very excited about planning the wedding.”
However, the couple’s engagement still “hasn’t fully hit either of them yet,” an insider told PEOPLE.
“It’s still kind of strange and exciting and new to say ‘fiancé’ when they’re talking about each other, and they both kind of laugh every time they catch themselves saying it,” the source shared with PEOPLE. “They’ve just been taking it all in quietly.”
In a new interview for BBC Radio 2’s The Scott Mills Breakfast Show, Swift opened up about her “passionate” connection with the NFL star.
“I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music,” she said. “That’s the coolest thing about Travis, like he is so passionate about what he does, that me being passionate about what I do, it connects us.”
