Toronto Raptors’ 2025 NBA Draft pick Collin Murray-Boyles recently spoke candidly about the raw honesty that defines his relationship with Chloe Kitts, his fellow University of South Carolina basketball standout.
The two forwards bonded during their time with the Gamecocks and have built their connection on mutual respect and truthfulness. While they keep their romance private, glimpses of shared moments occasionally surface.
What Makes Collin Murray-Boyles and Chloe Kitts’ Relationship Different?

Murray-Boyles is embracing a new chapter in the NBA and a relationship with Chloe Kitts built on accountability, honesty, and shared ambition.
In a recent interview with The Athletic NBA Daily, the Raptors’ 2025 ninth overall pick opened up about their dynamic, offering rare insight into the foundation of their relationship.
“It’s been amazing,” Murray-Boyles said, reflecting on their bond. “She’s been wonderful for me. You know, everybody wants somebody that could hold you accountable and not really sugarcoat anything from you, especially in a relationship, because that only builds, makes you all stronger as a whole, makes you stronger in your career.
“So somebody that can hold me down foundationally is very important for me and she does it to the fullest, baby,” Murray-Boyles said. “So I love her for that.”
Kitts, 20, was a key part of South Carolina’s 2024 NCAA championship-winning team and returned to help lead them to the national title game again in 2025, where they fell to UConn.
How Did Their South Carolina Connection Shape Their Future?
The pair first met at South Carolina and have been dating since 2024. Their shared focus and discipline were evident early on, with Murray-Boyles telling Kitts after watching the 2024 NBA Draft, “I will be drafted into the NBA next year.”
True to his word, Toronto selected him after an impressive college career. During his two seasons with the Gamecocks, Murray-Boyles made the All-SEC Freshman Team in his first year and earned All-SEC honors in his second.
He led the SEC with a 58.6 field goal percentage during the 2024-25 season, averaging 16.8 points per game. Even as his NBA journey begins, Murray-Boyles remains grounded, crediting the support system around him, including Kitts.
“I don’t really think about me,” Murray-Boyles said when asked about his goals for his rookie season. “I’m not an accolades person at all. Like the rookie teams are cool, but I just want to impact this team. I’m not worried about myself.”
Kitts will return to South Carolina for another season under coach Dawn Staley and is projected as a top pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft. Murray-Boyles is expected to support her, as she did during his draft, reflecting their shared respect and honesty.
