Caitlin Clark Involved in Heated Altercation During Fever-Sun Game 2

On Wednesday evening, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever looked to force a Game 3 as they took on the Connecticut Sun in Game 2. The Fever suffered a 93-69 Game 1 loss on Sunday and will look to be, at the very least, more competitive.

Early on in Game 2, Clark went up for a three-point shot with DeWanna Bonner draped all over her. Bonner accidentally knocked Clark to the ground after landing underneath her feet. There was no call on the play.

Shortly after, while Clark was jawing toward the sideline, Bonner came up right behind her before Clark shoved her out of the way.

Fever guard Lexie Hull, part of the Clark de-escalation committee, stepped in immediately after the incident with a few words of her own for Bonner.

After a Game 1 that was full of controversy, more specifically, the hit on Clark’s eye by DiJonai Carrington that was also not called a foul, things are getting pretty intense already in Wednesday’s game.

Clark played well below her standards in Game 1, especially given how she has performed following the Olympic break. She tallied 11 points on 4-of-17 shooting, eight assists and four rebounds.

If the Fever want a chance to bring the WNBA Playoffs to Gainbridge Fieldhouse, they will need a much better performance from the former Iowa Hawkeyes star.
