Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany details ‘very scary’ trip to ER with infant son

Brittany Mahomes, the wife of superstar Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, recently opened up about a harrowing moment involving the couple’s young son.

In an Instagram Story posted Thursday, Brittany detailed “a very scary and frantic trip” to the emergency room after discovering that 5-month-old son Bronze “is highly highly allergic to peanuts.”

“The scariest 30 min of my life,” she wrote to her 1.3 million followers.

Brittany and Patrick Mahomes welcomed Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III last November.

He is the second child in the Mahomes clan, as his older sister, Sterling Skye, was born in February 2021.

Shortly after the Chiefs defeated the Eagles in Super Bowl 2023 this past February, the Mahomes family ventured to Disneyland in California to celebrate.

“Welcome to the happiest place on earth, Bronze and Sterling!” Patrick and Brittany said in a joint Instagram post, adding a heart emoji for good measure.

The Mahomes family is featured in the Netflix docuseries “Quarterback,” with the two-time Super Bowl champ discussing the early days of his relationship with Brittany.

“We kinda met in seventh, eighth grade,” Mahomes said.

“She was the grade above me, I was kind of the best friend, in the friend zone forever.

“I used to walk her to class and was trying to flirt. When I was a sophomore in high school, she was a junior. I actually got her a rose … I kinda … I had a crush on her. But, I was getting a rose as a joke for Valentine’s Day.”

Brittany did not take the flower as a joke, but rather as a romantic gesture.

“He thought it was a joke,” she said in the documentary.

“I thought it was the cutest thing in the world. And then everyone at our lunch table started chanting, ‘Kiss him, kiss him,’ and made it really awkward cause we were ‘just friends’ so that’s kind of what started it and then I thought it was cute.

“… When they were chanting, I thought it was kind of awkward and it was funny. I was like, ‘Okay this guy is actually kind of cute. Maybe I do like him.’ So then we just started talking and then started dating.’”

The couple wed in Hawaii in March 2022.
