Basketball rookie loved strutting her stuff after ruffling feathers with reaction to rival’s award

ANGEL REESE went viral as she wowed a crowd in a tight purple jumpsuit and shrugged off her Caitlin Clark controversy.

The WNBA rookie was on stage for Nick Cannon’s “Wild ‘N Out” tour – and relished bashing out a rhyme herself.

The Chicago Sky forward, 22, appeared to have a blast – strutting out confidently and showing moves not seen on the basketball court.

Of course, Reese added cowboy-style boots to her outfit.

And when she dropped a few bars in front of a packed United Center in Chicago, she sent her following crazy.

Reese appeared to sing: “You know I look good, you wanna climb this tree. Can’t get me pregnant, this s*** ain’t cheap.”

That’s a rhyme from a video of the show which fans lapped up.

But her night-out divided sports fans following upset over her behavior towards fellow WNBA newcomer Clark.

Reese chose to promote her podcast first before congratulating the Indiana Fever counterpart on being named WNBA Rookie of the Year.

Clark picked up 66 of the 67 votes when most observers reckoned she’d pull off a clean sweep – with her Sky rival earning the single other one.

Reese’s podcast is called  “Unapologetically Angel”.

But some fans called on her to say sorry after her initial reaction following Clark’s honour was to focus on herself, posting: “NEW EPISODE OUT NOW!! WE DROPPED SOME GEMS!!'”

And after Reese’s appearance at “Wild ‘N Out” she again met with a mixed response.

A few fans loved her swagger – replying to the clip with comments like “She can have it all and more” …”Talent”… “I need to see this”.

Another said of her mini performance: “Get her in the studio.”

But trolls were also online in force, one even suggesting: “Guess she will be a socialite rather than a baller.”
