Brinks’ boyfriend, Ben Felter, is a former rower at Stanford University. But what truly set the story apart was Felter holding up Brink’s hand, drawing attention to what seemed to be both of their favorite pieces of bling—a wedding ring. But that only came as a surprise to those unfamiliar with the Brink-Felter lore.
Brinks’ story features a caption that reads, “Future hubby💌happy Valentine’s day I love you endlessly @ben_da_felta.” The caption suggests a strong commitment to the future of the young couple. Understandably so, without all context the story makes it seem like Felter proposed to Brink on Valentine’s Day. However, this is a story that was 5 months in the making! And Brink’s 4-words, “I love you endlessly” mean more than one might imagine.
In September 2024, 5 months ago, Felter proposed to Brink in Paris and posted the photos on Instagram with the caption that said, “Yes in every lifetime.” However, Romeo and Juliet have been together since March 2021. The two posted heartwarming 3-year anniversary messages for each other. Brink tries to keep mentions of her relationship off of social media but ensures she posts on special occasions. She posted a wholesome carousel of the two on Felter’s birthday in January 2023. Her caption said, “I love to love you & I’m so proud to call you mine. What’s Next for Brink and Felter?
Felter is a former Stanford rower and 3-time IRCA Scholar athlete. Brinks’ fiancee didn’t choose to pursue a career in sports and is now an AI Research Engineer at Lockheed Martin. Having proposed to Brink in September last year, fans have been curious about when the two plan on finally putting on their wedding dress and tuxedo. Thankfully, it won’t take too long. Speaking to PEOPLE in January 2025, Brink revealed that they both wanted to get married at Memorial Church on the Stanford campus, tying the know at a place close to both their hearts. As for the timeline, Brink believes that the wedding might just happen in 2026!
While the 23-year-old rookie forward for the Sparks is doing amazing in her personal life, things look different professionally. Brink hasn’t played a single basketball game since June 2024 when she dropped a 16-point performance against Atlanta Dream. The Princeton-born athlete suffered a torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) injury in her left knee in a game against Connecticut Sun on June 18, 2024. The untimely setback led to the young star not only missing the remainder of the WNBA season. but also missing out on 3×3 women’s basketball games in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
But that hasn’t stopped the #22. She signed a multi-year deal with Napheesa Collier’s debut league, Unrivaled, and is set to make her debut in 2026. Many believe the forward would be ready for action at the start of the new WNBA season in May. However, the No.2 for the 2024 WNBA draft hasn’t made any comments about her recovery timeline, citing it as “private to her recovery” while talking to the New York Post. ACL injuries usually take 9-12 months to recover from, but it still remains unclear whether Brink will be ready for the 2025 WNBA season that starts May 16.
