A new update has come up in lawsuit against pop star Taylor Swift.

 

Last year, a Florida artist, named Kimberly Marasco, sued Swift and her production company alleging that ‘creative elements’ in her songs and music videos copied her work without authorisation or credit.

The artists’ advocate has issued a statement in favour of the Florida artist saying, “she not be a well-known nation author.

As per Kimberly, she started listening to Taylor Swift only after she went on one of her concerts during the Eras Tour in 2024.

It made her connect the dots and the alleged similarities between both of their music produces.

 

Taylor Swift’s lawyers back the case claiming the charges are ‘time-barred’.

 

On January 21, the pop star’s lawyers backed her and filed a motion to dismiss the suit.

They notified that all the alleged claims Kimberly Marasco is filing must be filed within three years of the plaintiff’s learning of the alleged infringement.

But since her complaint was filed in April 2024, Taylor Swift’s albums.

which she targeted, were released long before 2021 and hence, according to lawyers.
