After their performance, John Legend expressed his deep admiration for the captivatingly raw and slightly rough texture that exists within the midrange of Ducote’s voice and said, “I love that kinda scratchy part of the midrange of your voice.”
He moved closer to Ducote to hear his distinctive voice. Ducote’s tone was seemingly unlike any he had ever heard before, captivating him with its uniqueness.
Reba McEntire commended both individuals, expressing her belief that the harmonious collaboration between them was exceptional. She specifically highlighted the distinctive qualities of their respective dialects, which she believed played a crucial role in elevating the overall atmosphere and appeal of the bar. Ultimately, Reba’s choice also aligned with Ducote.
Chance the Rapper also observed a discrepancy in tone between the two individuals, ultimately selecting Ryan as the preferred choice.
The duo, Dan + Shay, had to make a tough decision between the two talented country artists, ultimately choosing Ducote to move on in the competition while sending Ryan home.

One social media user wrote, “Now I wasn’t happy about this choice. He should have been stolen I’m not getting the plan.” Another user chimed in, “Omg another good country singer sent home when he should have been stolen they have 2 left my goodness I’m sad.” Followed by a user who penned, “Ryan = Robbed.”
