In The Voice, each of the four judges — Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams and Blake Shelton — compete with each other as the singers vie for first place as the judges claim and coach the singers as part of their teams. Davis was on Williams’ team, and when she was eliminated, he voiced his support on Twitter.

Davis’ fans replied to Williams in droves in a show of solidarity:

Davis also publicly thanked Williams on Twitter. Users on the social platform rallied to weigh in with supportive words.

One thing is clear: Davis has wracked up a devoted bunch of fans during her time on The Voice for her vocals, which carried her to the semi-finals. After her performance of “Love is Blindness” by U2 in November, New York Daily News‘ Scott Chiusano wrote, “Madi once again crushed this difficult song and proved why she deserves to be one of the last artists standing onstage when all is said and done.”

With a dedicated fan base and a friend/mentor like Williams, Davis is well-positioned to remain in the public eye. While we wait for Davis to make her next move, fans can head to iTunes to download her recordings from the season.
