A photograph released to mark the christening of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son Prince Archie has been flagged by a picture agency as being ‘digitally enhanced’ – becoming the latest snap to come under fire amidst the royal photoshopping scandal.

The global picture agency Getty has said the image, which shows members of the royal family gathering after the event in July 2019, was ‘enhanced’. It did not expand on exactly what elements of the picture had been manipulated. The picture – which was taken by fashion photographer Chris Allerton – features the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sitting with their two-month-old son alongside King Charles, Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton. The royal family were also joined by extended family members for the christening picture, including Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland and Princess Diana’s sisters.

Allerton has denied manipulating the image, according to MailOnline, saying: ‘Load of cobblers. Bye.’ Kate Middleton’s photograph showing the late Queen surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was manipulated, a photo agency has claimed today.

The photo, taken at Balmoral in August 2022, shows Queen Elizabeth sitting with a number of her younger relatives, including the Prince and Princess of Wales’ children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh’s children, and Zara Tindall’s family.
