THE Voice is getting heated as Battle rounds left two coaches fighting on Tuesday.

Nadège and Maddi Jane fought for their spot on Chance The Rapper’s team by singing Can’t Keep My Eyes Off You and the other coaches made it clear they were ready to steal whichever artist that Chance eliminated after the exciting Battle.

The coaches weren’t the only ones impressed with the duet as fans on social media praised the number. One wrote on X, “Nadege vs Maddi….Best of the night!!!”

“Wow, That was an incredible performance by maddi jane and nadege, They sounded amazing together, And it was one of the best performances of the night this week,” another shared.

Chance picked Maddi Jane as the winner, causing John Legend and Dan + Shay to slam their Steal buttons for Nadège – only for Chance to interrupt Legend’s pitch as he used his Playoff Pass to keep both Nadège and Maddi Jane on his team.

John was visibly stunned by the move and screamed out, “It’s sadistic!” before adding that he was “heartbroken” by the missed opportunity to steal Nadège for his team.

Fans are unsure of Gwen’s return, continued

Later in the thread, the same commenter mentioned they “feel like the show is running out of coaches,” as they stated, “We will continue to get new coaches because previous coaches aren’t coming back anymore.

“John and Gwen are the only staple coaches left, since Blake has retired and Kelly has moved, I don’t see her coming back (or any of the other former coaches from previous seasons tbh).”

“Gwen has new music coming out this year, plus Gxve Beauty. So she might be busier this year,” another fan pointed out.

Fans are unsure of Gwen’s return

Gwen Stefani has been a staple coach on The Voice, however, she decided not to come back for season 25.

On a Reddit board dedicated to The Voice, a fan posed the question, “Gwen Stefani – will she be back for season 26?”

They expanded, “We knew Gwen is out for season 25, obviously – but do we think she will return for season 26? Or could she be done for good since Blake is also not coming back?”

Another Redditor excitedly replied, “I had this question too!”

The commenter continued, “We know she tends to pop in and out of seasons. Like she’ll do every other season or she’ll be on for a season, take a break for a few seasons rather, and then come back. She did 22 and 24, but I feel like she might take a longer break this time around and not do 26.”

The Voice has seen repeat auditions

If you have auditioned for The Voice before and haven’t gotten a yes, don’t be discouraged – you are allowed to try again.

There is no limit to how many times a person can audition for the reality competition show, according to its website.

If a singer doesn’t hit the mark during the blind auditions, the coaches have a habit of encouraging the performer to practice more and audition again for another season.

The Voice explained, part three

The Playoffs are the last step before contestants advance to the live shows.

The coaches will have to select three artists from their team to advance to the lives.

Once the lives begin, the results are solely based on America’s thoughts as contestants advance based on viewer votes alone.

By Sophie Gable

The Voice explained, part two

After the Battle Rounds, 24 contestants will move on to the Knockouts.

During the Knockouts, two singers will go against one another again, however, they each sing their own songs instead of performing a duet.

The coaches are once again tasked with picking a winner from each Knockout round. They have one Steal each.

By Sophie Gable

The Voice explained

The Battle Rounds are well underway as each coach is pitting two of their own team members to sing the same song together.

They have to pick a winner of each Battle Round to advance to the Knockouts.

Each coach has one Steal they can use on another coach’s team and a Playoff Pass, which sends one of their own straight to Playoffs.

The Battles bring each team down to only six members.
