Sharon Osbourne Recalls Ozzy’s Final Moments in Emotional Piers Morgan Interview

Sharon Osbourne has opened up about the heartbreaking final days of her husband, Ozzy Osbourne. In a deeply emotional appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored on December 10, the former X Factor judge described the painful decline Ozzy endured and the intimate final moments they shared before his passing.

Sharon revealed that Ozzy had been suffering greatly in the last year.
“His body was failing him. He was in so much pain,” she said, noting he battled pneumonia three times and also suffered from sepsis — a condition she said “really destroyed him.”

Ozzy’s Vivid Dreams & Final Request

In the week leading up to his death, Ozzy experienced unsettling, vivid dreams.
“He was seeing people he didn’t know,” Sharon recalled. “He said he was walking and seeing all these different people every night… and he knew he was ready.”

The night before he died, Ozzy asked Sharon for a moment of closeness.
“At around 4:30 a.m., he woke me up and said, ‘Kiss me.’ Then he said, ‘Hug me tight.’”

His Final Morning

Despite his failing health, Ozzy stuck to his routine the next morning.
“He got up early, as he always did, and said he needed to go downstairs to work out,” Sharon said.

After just 20 minutes, he collapsed from a heart attack.

Sharon heard screaming and ran downstairs.
“They were trying to resuscitate him. I knew instantly he was gone,” she recalled. Ozzy was airlifted to the hospital, but doctors couldn’t revive him. “He was gone. I told them, ‘Just leave him.’”

Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22 at age 76.

Doctors Warned Him Against His Final Show

Sharon also revealed that doctors strongly advised Ozzy not to perform his final show.
“The doctor told him, ‘If you do this show, you’re not going to get through it.’ But he said, ‘I’m doing it.’”

Despite the risks, the performance gave Ozzy immense happiness.
“He didn’t realize how much people loved him,” Sharon shared. “For two weeks after, every day felt like sunshine for him. He was happier than we’d seen him in seven years.”

Support From Their Children

Sharon became emotional while discussing how their three children helped her cope.
“If it weren’t for them, I would have gone with Ozzy,” she admitted. “They’ve been unbelievable with me. Magnificent.”

The family received over 100,000 condolence items from fans.

Messages From Donald Trump & King Charles

Sharon also shared unexpected support from global figures.
She said President Donald Trump left her a heartfelt voicemail, which “meant so much,” and King Charles personally sent a handwritten letter the following day.
“He knew Ozzy. They always laughed together. He really understood him.”

Ozzy’s 40 Years of Journaling

Sharon revealed that Ozzy kept diaries for nearly four decades, beginning during rehab in 1984.
Although she never read them during his life, she has begun reading them now.
“They’re very honest… but sad. He put himself down a lot,” she said.

What She Misses Most

When asked what she misses the most, Sharon struggled to hold back tears.
“His hand,” she whispered. “Holding his hand. You can’t put it into words. They need to invent new words for this kind of loss.”
