While Clark has made a career in basketball. she always had a love for golf as she had for other sports like volleyball and soccer. Since her offseason started, the Fever star has been taking golf lessons seriously. According to Golf Digest, she also bought fresh sticks to start working on her game.

Caitlin Clark is taking her love for golf to another level in November. She “is set to take on Florida’s Pelican Golf Club” next month. She will also be one of the panelists for the Women’s Leadership Summit organized by LPGA.

Caitlin Clark highlights the mental toughness part of golf compared to basketball

Caitlin Clark would not have become a basketball sensation without fierceness and confidence on the court. While the Fever rookie has the mental toughness to be great on the court, she still thinks that she can be tougher.

For Clark, playing golf has not just been a fun part of her life, but it has also helped her in developing mental toughness. Clark made an interesting comparison between playing golf and playing basketball.

“You have one bad shot on the golf course or on the basketball court, you gotta move on to the next,” she told Alex Myers from Golf Digest. “Obviously in basketball, I have four other girls on the court with me that I can lean on if I’m not having a good day or shooting well.

“If I’m on the golf course, it’s all on me. You have to accept that not every day is gonna be great for you. That’s helped me by translating that to basketball.”

Earlier, in a postgame interview, when a reporter asked Caitlin Clark about her plans for the offseason, she hilariously replied that she would try to be a professional golfer. However, now it seems like that the WNBA superstar was serious.
