On February 1, he heard a trade update that forced him to tweet, “Wait what?” It happened as bonafide NBA insider Shams Charania revealed that the Dallas Mavericks were trading Luka Doncic, Maxi Kleber, and Markieff Morris to the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a 2029 first-round pick. The deal also includes Utah Jazz. Mahomes went from being surprised to feeling overwhelmed and wrote, “I’m sick rn….”
