Inspired by Shaquille O’Neal and girl power, Angel Reese launches new collection with Reebok

The young Chicago Sky star is jumping into the fashion world again and looking to inspire women.

Heading into her second season with Chicago Sky, Angel Reese’s life appears to be rosy. Literally.

Recently the young WNBA star and the sports brand Reebok have launched their second capsule collection just in time for the spring and summer seasons.

This was announced by the sports brand on Instagram: “Angel Reese doesn’t just play the game-she owns it. On the court, she’s all grit. Off the court, she’s all glam. Now, she’s bringing that same energy to Reebok. Stay tuned-something legendary is coming”.

The Chicago Sky star and creator said:

I wanted to create a collection that would allow women and girls everywhere to embrace their femininity and power in everything they do. This collection is for her to look elegant and bold in every occasion.

In shades of “Coral Pink” and “Gold Chrome” both sneakers, sweatshirts, shorts and t-shirts let text details such as “Unapologetically Angel” and “Angel Aura” shine through. However, the centerpiece of the capsule is the sneakers, which are available in unisex adult sizes as well as children’s sizes.

Among the sneakers that stand out, the spotlight is undoubtedly on the “Reebok x Angel Shaqnosis”, created and inspired in honor of his mentor, Shaquille O’Neal, being a reinvention of the version of a silhouette made famous by the NBA icon.

When is Reese returning to the court?

In her second season with the Chicago Sky, Angel is generating high expectations among fans and the team. After being selected with the No. 7 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft , her incredible play has brought her more prestige. Reese averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game.

She also finished her rookie season second behind Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever and was named a WNBA All-Star.

All in all, Reese has proven that she is here to stay and heading into a new season, she will look to leave her name and the Chicago Sky’s name at the top.

The most upcoming commitment with her team will be next May 17 when they face Caitlin Clark and Indiana Fever in the first date of the new WNBA season.
