The Golden State Warriors are living in a nightmare.

Four games and four back-to-back losses. Who could’ve thought that the top team of the West would have such a downfall? Although it’s just the initial stage of the season, the news isn’t great for Steve Kerr.

Besides, Stephen Curry’s tendinitis is adding to the trouble.

If the team sidelines or reduces the minutes of the centerpiece, it will impact the team’s performance.

So, are the Dubs still contenders for the Top 4 in the West?

There is no denying that Coach Kerr has built the Warriors around Steph.

“He [Curry] is the building block of the building,” Lou Williams stated at FanDuel TV’s Run It Back.

Everything is tailor-made for the Baby-Faced Assassin and that’s how they play. “That’s the way that Steve Kerr’s coached.

You can even look at their offense and how they play. They play fast.

They play up and down.” The player shoots a lot of threes and all of it is Curry-centric.

“So when you have him off of the floor, your personnel doesn’t look the same.

Your team doesn’t look the same. The identity doesn’t look the same,” Williams added.

He further mentioned that if Steph’s minutes are cut short or he’s sidelined, Steve Kerr will put the ball in Andrew Wiggins’ hands.

As a result, a new game and strategy will unfold. This shift could either succeed or fail. Moreover, the usual fast-paced Warriors will transform into a mid-range, slow-shooting team.

However, Lou Williams is positive that the Bay Area boys will make it to the Top 4 in the Western Conference.

But, unfortunately, Chandler Parsons believes, the top four is a bit of a stretch.

Why? Buddy Hield has shown sparks of excellence on the court, he is “As good as he is, that is with the attention that Steph Curry gets.” Parsons adds: “This guy draws double teams.

This guy gets blitzed. This guy creates so many open looks for everyone on that team.

When he’s out, it’s a glaring hole.” Yes, Brandin Podziemski and Moses Moody are good, but, “They are not Steph Curry,” he strongly opined.

They don’t draw as much attention, it is Curry who takes the stage and makes space for the team to collect points.

So, when he’s out, the void screams for someone to fill it.

However, Steve Kerr might feel slightly relieved due to Threezus’ tendinitis.“It’s not serious,” commented Chandler Parsons.

However, “Just with that schedule and all these teams I’m looking at in the West, and the surprise of the Houston Rockets and the Memphis Grizzlies healthy.”

Indeed, not just the OKC Thunder, the Houston Rockets, and the Memphis Grizzlies are posing a threat to Coach Kerr and his boys.

They are strong contenders in the West and could crush the Dubs if rapid action isn’t taken.

But, the questions remain: What about Stephen Curry?

And, what role will Jonathan Kuminga play in such an adverse scenario?

Steve Kerr could face a massive dilemma with Steph Curry’s knees

Coach Kerr has already faced the wrath of the fans after he played his 36-year-old magician for 29 minutes vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder not too long ago.

And it looks like, the HC might continue to do the same unless Stephen Curry is fit enough to play full-time on the court. Moreover, we could see the 10x NBA All-Star sidelined occasionally, who knows?

For, Steve Kerr, Steph is the most important piece of the team.

Therefore, if he takes severe measures for Curry’s sake, don’t be surprised.

Meanwhile, Kerr withdrew his superstar after 32 minutes of the game against the Phoenix Suns.

Curry, scored 23 points, thus being the only one on the team to cross the 20-mark.

On the other hand, the Dubs HC’s plans with Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody don’t look particularly promising.

He isn’t willing to pair Draymond Green and Trayce Jackson-Davis in Curry’s absence. However his “gut” would be to move to the big starting lineup with JK benched.

It’s quite difficult to understand why the coach isn’t playing his champs and giving more time to ineffective players.

It’s safe to say, that if this unfortunate and disappointing stretch continues, the Golden State Warriors are surely going to miss the playoffs.

It seems that no one has prepared a plan for times when Stephen Curry won’t be around.

Pretty concerning! Steve Kerr better come up with revised strategies before the dreams of a fifth ring slip away like sand from between the fingers.
