Anthony Martineau of TVA Sports has just ignited major controversy with a revelation about the Tampa Bay Lightning’s game-winning goal last night.

The journalist shared a video showing a clear interference on Kirby Dach just seconds before Gage Goncalves’ overtime winner.

An infraction that was not called by the officials—and one that suggests the play was clearly illegal.

It completely changes the context of the goal that forced a Game 7 on Sunday night.

“Alright. I’m really not someone who cries injustice.

But am I crazy, or is that a blatant missed interference call on Dach just seconds before the game-winning goal?”

– Anthony Martineau

Martineau’s tone says it all.

He’s not the type of journalist to complain about officiating.

But this time, he couldn’t hold back.

A blatant interference on Kirby Dach directly led to the Lightning’s game-winning goal

The sequence is easy to follow.

Kirby Dach is impeded on the play that leads directly to Goncalves’ goal.

Without that interference, Dach could have properly defended the Canadiens’ zone.

Without that interference, the goal might never have been scored.

Canadiens No. 77 is taken out of the play on the sequence, the victim of an illegal action that goes unpunished for the Lightning.

Watch the footage here:

With the questionable penalty against Ivan Demidov for “goaltender interference,” it’s starting to add up…

But the Canadiens now have to turn the page.

Game 7 on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. in Tampa will decide everything.

The Canadiens have shown they can do it. Now it’s a matter of whether they can overcome the frustration currently building in the locker room.
