Bill Belichick could make shock return to the NFL with Tom Brady’s Las Vegas Raiders|KF

Bill Belichick would have to get the ‘biggest coaching deal ever’ to return to the NFL just weeks after becoming UNC’s head coach.

Though his contract with North Carolina contains a $10million buyout, multiple franchises have inquired with the coach to see if he would make a stunning U-turn – including the Raiders and their minority owner Tom Brady.

Belichick is expected to stay at least one year at UNC, but a source has told DailyMail.com just what it would take for him to return to the NFL this offseason.

‘It would have to be the biggest coaching deal ever with so many guarantees that he would never be fired, and Bill would have to have all the control over the team to consider any of the teams that have reached out,’ they said.

‘He doesn’t expect that to happen, but he will do his due diligence nonetheless.’

Belichick has been contacted by the Raiders, Saints, Bears and Jaguars, who are all looking for a new head coach this cycle.

‘The Raiders, Saints, Bears and Jaguars have sent out various feelers to Bill to see if he would be at all interested, but nothing has taken the turn to where he would consider taking any of those jobs,’ the source continued.

‘He is flattered, but he is sticking to his guns right now and will stay at UNC for at least one year.’
