Angel Reese sends three-word response to Taylor Swift fans amid backlash over Kayla Nicole interview
Angel Reese has fired back at Taylor Swift fans on social media amid the backlash over her interview with Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole.
Nicole, who dated Kelce on and off for five years before his romance with Swift, discussed her former relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end on Reese’s ‘Unapologetically Angel’ podcast this week.
Among many other revelations, the 32-year-old influencer admitted she cannot speak to Travis if they see each other in public because of his ‘situation’ with Taylor. She also opened up on the vile abuse ‘Swifties’ have been subjecting her to online.
Reese, who has just completed her rookie WNBA season with the Chicago Sky, told Nicole at one stage that she ‘loved’ her and Kelce together.
Both have been targeted by Swift’s fans in the wake of the interview, with Nicole told to ‘get over’ Kelce and Reese slammed for bringing up the topic to gain views.

And amid the criticism coming their way, the basketball star responded on X: ‘Hating pays too,’ along with a nail-painting emoji.
Nicole lifted the lid on the abuse she has received from Swift’s fans amid Kelce’s relationship with the pop megastar, which was confirmed publicly when she first attended a Chiefs game in September 2023.
‘I think the combination of everything is the perfect storm to make you want to disappear from the world entirely,’ she told Reese about how much it impacted her.
‘Behind closed doors, the hardest part is losing a partner, a best friend, speaking every day to cutting ties. Then you throw in social media.
‘I would be lying if I said that that level of hate and online chaos didn’t impact me, even to this day. You could go to my most recent posts and people would be debating why I am worthless.
‘It is nothing to do with me. I think there is something about that level of fame that attracts crazy people, which is unfortunate because I don’t think I have done anything to warrant that kind of backlash.’

However, Swifties followed up Nicole’s appearance on the podcast by taking aim at her once again, urging Kelce’s ex to move on from her old romance with the NFL player.
One wrote on X: ‘What does she mean there’s not room for us to talk WHY WOULD IT BE HES IN A RELATIONSHIP IS SHE DUMB????’
Another put: ‘This girl needs to move on, he’s in a happier place now.’
‘Why is she talking about him? Let’s move on,’ said a third.
A fourth put: ‘When your ex is in a new serious relationship, there is no room for you anymore.’
While one simply concluded: ‘She is embarrassing herself badly’.
