Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston have formed quite the duo on the court for the Indiana Fever. But the pair also appear to be developing a great relationship off the floor as well. After Clark made WNBA history by becoming the first rookie ever to record a triple-double, she bestowed praise upon her teammates for converting her passes into assists. She stated, “My teammates have been finishing the ball really really at a high rate. My assist numbers that’s because of them.”
Boston interjected saying playfully, “She’s so humble isn’t she? That’s pretty cool Caitlin. Great job sister, ” of course referencing the historic statistical accomplishment.
Aliyah also helped the Fever best the New York Liberty but it seems the All-Star tandem are bordering on besties based on their recent interactions in press conferences. And the basketball chemistry between the two most recent number one draft picks is readily apparent.
Clark finished the game with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 assists. While AB contributed 18 points and 8 rebounds of her own, with the connection combining several times for buckets as is the case in every contest. Boston held a Q and A on X last week and mentioned how well they blend, given the reads Clark is able to make out of ball screen actions.
After a slow start it appears Clark and Boston are destined to thrive together for a long time. They will both be All-Stars alongside teammate Kelsey Mitchell, and Aliyah actually finished second in total votes just behind Caitlin.
