Caitlin Clark Wins Hearts at Rare Event as WNBA Star’s Unseen Side Goes Viral

Caitlin Clark sure knows how to impress her folks. Whether it’s nailing clutch shots or cheering courtside, she has a knack for making headlines—and this time, it was the young star’s personal side at Indiana’s event. For someone who’s already considered a good luck charm for the state, her involvement in traditions only solidifies her place in Hoosier’s hearts.
The young W star was spotted at none other than Tyrese Haliburton’s “Come to Our House” Season of Giving Dinner. An X handle confirmed, writing, “Caitlin is serving food as part of Tyrese Haliburton’s Come to Our House Season of Giving Dinner.”
This annual event brings the Indiana basketball community together to help those in need in central Indiana. For the 27th time, it served hundreds of people experiencing homelessness.
Guests were treated to a hot holiday spread and enjoyed activities. For many, it’s also a chance to meet Indiana’s basketball heroes up close. And seeing the Fever star, alongside Pacers players, felt like a treat for fans. They couldn’t stop buzzing about it.
However, Clark wasn’t alone on the serving line. According to Pacers beat writer, she joined Rick Carlisle, Obi Toppin, Aaron Nesmith, and others. Haliburton, who’s been the host for three years, summed up the significance perfectly.
“It’s much bigger than me or my teammates,” he shared. “This is something that has lived beyond the guys who started this and will live beyond us.” And it’s so beautiful to see them continuing the tradition their veteran started. And now, the new faces are joining along.
Speaking of new talents, CC didn’t just pop in for this one event. Earlier, she was courtside as the Indiana Pacers took on the New York Knicks, showing her support and earning some “lucky charm” talk when Indiana pulled off a solid 132-121 win, where the Pacers guard bagged impressive 35 points.
Multiple fans appreciated the W star showing up. But do you know her connection to the Pacers goes beyond the game-day experience, as she has been Haliburton’s friend? But how?
How did Caitlin Clark and Tyrese Haliburton become such good friends?
Well, there’s a bit of a backstory there. It turns out Clark’s boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, played a pretty big role in connecting these two rising basketball stars. McCaffery, who used to play college basketball at Iowa (the same school where Clark made her name), took a job with the Pacers as a basketball development coordinator for the 2023-24 season.
Naturally, he and Tyrese hit it off, and Clark, being around the Pacers team through McCaffery, got to know Haliburton. By now, the friendship has become something of a basketball buddy system.

The Pacers young star even mentioned at a recent media day that he, CC, Connor and his girlfriend chat regularly, often in a group chat. Haliburton shared that he’s happy to talk basketball with her anytime, adding, “I grew to be pretty close with Caitlin and Connor.”Â
But these two are shaping up to be quite the force representing Indiana, each dominating in their leagues. With Haliburton leading the NBA in assists per game last season and Clark breaking records in her debut WNBA season, their bond makes sense in every possible way.
