Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was spotted in a chill moment during their recent preseason game, as she was together with teammates Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull. In the video, Cunningham even gave her honest take on her candy experience while on the bench.
In a video posted on X, Caitlin Clark sat on the bench resting with teammates Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham. Clark was in the middle, “flanked by the wins,” and her “ blonde bodyguards.”
These namesakes refer to her friends and teammates, Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull. IN the video, Cunningham can also be seen munching on some candy and seemingly having a serious good time with it. In her shared post, she revealed that it was a Starburst.
“One could possibly believe that was the best Starburst I’ve ever eaten, my gosh,” she said in her post.
Sophie Cunningham , a five-season veteran of the Phoenix Mercury, joined the Indiana Fever in the 2025 offseason. The four-team trade that brought her to Indiana also involved the Connecticut Sun and Dallas Wings. The Fever, aiming to build a winning team, added Cunningham along with experienced players DeWanna Bonner and Natasha Howard. Cunningham shared her enthusiasm for joining a team focused on acquiring competitive players with a winning mindset.
Her first days with the Fever were busy, as she was introduced to the media and immediately began training with the team. Bonner, who previously played with Cunningham in Phoenix, reacted positively to her arrival, showing support for her new teammate. Cunningham has embraced her leadership role, helping the Fever build chemistry as they prepare for the 2025 WNBA season.
Sophie Cunningham Talks About Caitlin Clark
In a previous press interview, Sophie Cunningham talked about new teammate Caitlin Clark and the pressure she has on her as a superstar. As a new Fever team member, Cunningham understands the pressure that Clark has on her shoulders.
“She’s just had a lot of pressure on her shoulders,” Cunningham said of Clark. “No one’s walked in her footsteps, so it’s really easy to judge and just say things. At the end of the day, we just all need to empower each other and be there for each other.”
“She’s done a lot, and that rookie class, to bring attention to our league, and it’s needed. That’s what we’ve always wanted. Why would we not embrace them and make sure they’re good?”
