On Monday night the football world watched as Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins suffered yet another knee injury.
The former Ohio State star has seen his NFL career decimated by injuries in recent years.
In 2021 he suffered a catastrophic knee injury in a preseason game where he tore his ACL, LCL meniscus.
and hamstring all in one hit causing him to miss the entire 2021 season.
The knee injury flared up during the 2022 season and he missed six games.
During Week 1 of the 2023 season, he suffered a torn Achilles that cost him another full season.
Then came tonight’s knee injury.
While the severity of the injury isn’t known just yet, a report from ESPN’s Laura Rutledge seemed to cast doubt on his ability to return to the game.
Not long later, ESPN insider Adam Schefter confirmed Dobbins was ruled out for the rest of the game.

It’s a brutal break for Dobbins, who was in the midst of a strong comeback season with the Chargers.
Fans were feeling for the talented running back after his latest injury scare.
“The tenor of the Laura Rutledge report plus the way Troy/Joe discussed it coupled with JK Dobbins injury history felt… bad.
Hope I’m wrong,” CBS analyst Will Brinson said.
“Ah man, please let the guy be ok, he deserves a break,” added another.
“Been so unlucky with injuries this season,” offered a third.
“Please not JK,” said another.
“Please, God… don’t do this again…” added another.
Through 10 games this season, he’s racked up 726 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground while adding another 115 yards on 25 receptions.
Hopefully the injury isn’t serious and Dobbins will be able to return at some point this season.
