Chicago Sky’s guard Chennedy Carter reacted to her position on a recent ESPN list. The veteran guard had a good season with the Sky before the All-Star break hit. She was even in the race for the Most Improved Player of the Year award.
The WNBA is about to restart, and Carter was named one of the best players to watch in the second half of the competition. She took offense with her ranking: 24th of 25 positions. Carter claimed on Instagram she was being hated by the network.
“How I average less minutes and my stats top in the league ? But I am at the bottom. This isn’t adding up. The hate be so obvious, F/G percentage as well,” Carter wrote.

Carter has been one of the best players for Chicago this season. She went from signing a training camp with the team in February to making the most off the bench and becoming a starter. She’s one of the reasons why the team remains competitive and has hopes to reach the playoffs.
Carter is averaging 17.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game while adding 1.3 steals. She shoots for 51.8% from the field and 75.3% from the free-throw line.
Chennedy Carter gets honest on potential participation in new ‘Unrivaled’ league
Before calling out ESPN over its ranking, Chennedy Carter told fans about her potential pick to the upcoming 3×3 ‘Unrivaled’ league. The guard said she wasn’t invited on X (formerly Twitter).
“Just for clarification because I continuously keep getting asked , I was not invited to ‘Unrivaled.’ I didn’t get picked,” she tweeted.
Carter has earned more attention this season thanks to her improved game and behavior on and off the court. She had pushed Caitlin Clark in the back during the first Indiana Fever vs. Chicago Sky game. After the game, she refused to answer questions about the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft.
More recently, she got emotional speaking about her experience playing in Chicago and the support she got after being snubbed from Unrivaled.
“chicago, you just (ughh) dont make me cry, being such an amazing experience,” she tweeted.
