Eagles fans severely disrespect Patrick Mahomes: a pig, a knife, No. 15 and his hair
S afe to say Philadelphia Eagles fans are ready for Friday’s Super Bowl parade after some were spotted cooking a pig dressed up to depict Patrick Mahomes .
While players, coaching staff and fans will welcome their heroes as they travel around the city, some fans may have taken the celebrations a little too far.
Images on social media show the pig wearing an afro, with the No.15 carved into the skin as fans around it can be seen smiling.
It comes after the Eagles denied the Chiefs from becoming the first NFL team to win three Super Bowls in a row thanks to a 40-22 win in New Orleans on Sunday.
The Eagles came up short against the Chiefs just two years ago, but this time there was no denying Philadelphia as Mahomes struggled to get anything going.
Philadelphia’s defensive line of Josh Sweat, Milton Williams, Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis caused fits for the Chiefs offensive line all game, while Jalen Hurts scored three touchdowns and took home Super Bowl MVP honors.
Not everyone is impressed with Philly fans
While the Eagles fans tailgating before the parade were clearly excited for the occasions, as pictures on social media showed them cooking the pig in the early hours of the morning, not everyone was pleased with the gesture online.
“Very strange behavior, not really needed,” wrote one fan, while another added: “This isn’t even funny man. Mahomes is a real person.”
Another fan wrote: “Yo that’s just messed up. I get the eagles hype, but disrespecting the champ like that? not a good look. let’s keep the trash talk on the field, fam. this ain’t it.”
It isn’t the first time Eagles fans have caused a stir online in recent weeks, as videos of fans fighting amongst themselves have been uploaded after their playoff wins in the run up to the Super Bowl.
There were even videos of fans fighting in New Orleans just hours after the Eagles claimed their second ever Super Bowl.

Philly’s finest and the coaching squad will be marching through the streets of Philadelphia to celebrate their victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, with supporters turning up in droves early doors to snag prime spots.
Nevertheless, some Eagles supporters have taken the revelry to questionable lengths, copping heat for sticking a wig meant to mimic Mahomes’ locks and scrawling the player’s number on a roasted pig.
Snaps circulating on social media have showcased the pig sporting a makeshift black afro and a massive carving blade implanted in its spine, surrounded by grinning fans.
This isn’t the first time Philly followers have found themselves in hot water after footage circulated of Eagles fanatics scrapping amongst themselves following playoff victories. More intense scenes revealed brawls in New Orleans, even after snatching their second Super Bowl title ever.

Fans bring out a roasted pig depicting Patrick Mahomes
Philadelphians seem to be kicking off their tailgate parties from dawn into what’s pegged to be an epic celebration, as they toast to just their second Super Bowl triumph. Images had emerged of the pig being sizzled when it was still pitch black in the early hours of the day from the city.
The Eagles managed to get their revenge on Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, after a loss in the same game two years ago, with Jason Kelce losing out to his younger brother Travis. However, this time around, Mahomes found it tough going as Philadelphia’s defensive line, including Josh Sweat, Milton Williams, Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis, dominated Kansas City’s offensive line.
Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts scored three touchdowns leading them to victory and bagging the Super Bowl MVP title. The likes of Nick Sirianni, Jalen Hurts and Howie Roseman are expected to address thousands of fans.
