The Missouri State University football team received some unfortunate news on Saturday. Todric McGee, a talented starting safety for the Missouri State Bears, tragically passed away at the age of 21.
His death on April 19 has left a profound impact on the Missouri State football community, as authorities have linked his passing to a “possible accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound.”
The authorities received a wellness check call on McGee on April 18, when they found the young football star in a critical condition.
Unfortunately, McGee did not survive his injuries after authorities transported him to a nearby hospital.
The incident is currently under investigation, and further details regarding the event are yet unclear.
McGee was well-respected and celebrated both on and off the field.
He graduated from Wichita Northwest High School in Kansas and was preparing for his fifth season with the Bears.
