‘I’m a little heavy’ – Patrick Mahomes mows down Malik Mustapha as 49ers star is brutally welcomed to the NFL

Patrick Mahomes’ perfect dad bod came to the rescue — again.

Normally when an NFL quarterback attempts to run over a hard-hitting safety, the defender easily wins.

But Showtime Mahomes stands 6ft 2in and weighs 225lb — with some protective extra padding around the sides — and the reigning Super Bowl champion bowled over San Francisco rookie Malik Mustapha at the goal line on Sunday.

With Mahomes’ dad bod leading to a powerful Kansas City touchdown and the Chiefs remaining undefeated at 6-0 following a 28-18 road victory over the 49ers, the three-time world champ joked about his size advantage.

“We support each other. We’re a big family over here,” said Mahomes, after the Chiefs’ defense proudly supported his mowing down of Mustapha for a TD.

“I wasn’t even really trying to run him over. I was just trying to get in the end zone.

“I’m a little heavy. I’ve got some weight to me and I ended up getting in there.”

Mahomes’ extra padding allowed him to make up for an off game.

The three-time Super Bowl MVP only threw for 154 yards while giving away two interceptions and posting a poor 44.4 rating.

This season, Mahomes has thrown more picks (eight) than TDs (six) and he leads the league in interceptions thrown.

He’s still a perfect 6-0 – for the first time in his NFL career – with the only stat that matters, though, and Mahomes had a revealing sit-down interview with QB GOAT Tom Brady before the Chiefs’ latest win.

Mahomes first joked about his dad bod during the 2023 playoffs, and it’s now become a running joke in the NFL and among fans.

A viral picture of the three-time Super Bowl winner celebrating Kansas City’s 2023 AFC title win received a tongue-in-cheek reaction from the Chiefs QB.

“Yoooo why they have to do me like that!?!?!? #DadBodSZN,” Mahomes on X.

He added: “Like i got kids!!!!”

Brady was also curious about the unique physique of the Chiefs leader.

“I use those hips and that obliques muscle to really rotate through there,” Mahomes said. ”

“The people who have seen the dad bod, that’s for a reason — that’s the obliques. I’m getting them right.”

Brady understood the motivation.

“We have to keep a little padding in there,” Brady said on FOX. “We’re getting hit all the time.”

Meanwhile, Mustapha learned the hard way that Mahomes is normally the winner on the NFL field.

“I ain’t gonna lie I’m getting cooked,” was posted to the X account of the 49ers rookie.

Fans loved the humor and respected Mustapha for admitting defeat.

“Dad bod is undefeated,” one fan tweeted.

“Tweet thru it fam,” a second fan posted.

“Being a good sport about is where it’s at,” a third fan wrote.

“Mahomes weighs more … it’s the Coors Light,” a fourth fan said. “Dad bod is undefeated.”
