Forbes released their 30 under 30 list on Tuesday featuring some of the top WNBA stars, including Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark. The renowned magazine chooses a few individuals under 30 from various disciplines every year. This year’s edition surprised fans as it didn’t feature some of their favorite female athletes.
The list features four female basketball players, headlined by Clark. The three other basketball players are from the women’s college basketball league. Guard for the LSU Tigers Flau’jae Johnson was selected in the list, as well as Haley and Hanna Cavinder of the Miami Hurricanes.

However, fans were expecting other professional basketball stars in the list.
“The only person I know on here is Caitlin Clark. Also where’s Beuckers?? A’ja??” one fan said.
“Cavinder twins on here above Bueckers or Angel is kinda wild lmao,” another fan was surprised with the list.
“Maybe there’s something I don’t understand about the list, but A’ja should be there. It may not have been league-wide, but what she did for Las Vegas and a women’s sports team was special,” a fan argued A’ja Wilson’s case.
Other fans cited other basketball stars who they think deserve a spot on the list with Clark.
“I would include Napheesa Collier in that list,” a fan said, mentioning Collier founding the Unrivaled League with Breanna Stewart.
“Cavinder twins but no Angel or Paige…yeah ok😒,” another fan said.
“Where’s Angel Reece?” a fan said.
While fans aren’t satisfied some of the other rising WNBA stars weren’t selected this year, it’s worth noting that a person can only make the list once. A’ja Wilson was part of the 30 under 30 list in 2021. Angel Reese and Napheesa Collier were part of the 2024 list.
Caitlin Clark gets nominated to win the BBC Sports Personality World Sport Star of the Year
It’s a big year for Caitlin Clark as she gets nominated for the BBC Sports Personality World Sport Star of the Year. Clark is one of six finalists to be considered for the award.
The other candidates for the prestigious accolade are Simone Biles, Catherine Debrunner, Armand Duplantis, Sifan Hassan and Leon Marchand. Last year’s winner was Manchester City’s star player Erling Haaland.
Voting is now open and the final results will be announced on Dec. 17 via BBC One’s live show.
After being selected by the Fever in the draft, Clark had a fantastic 2024 and quickly contributed to the league’s increased ratings. The former Iowa Hawkeyes star made the All-Star team in her first season and won the Rookie of the Year award.
