The Wings lost 96-71 to the Lynx on Monday, but there was way more to the story as the players met up on the court.

Before the game, Bueckers had the chance to reunite with Lynx guard DiJonai Carrington.

While Carrington was in her sports bra and speaking to someone on the sidelines, Paige Bueckers rushed over and threw her body into her, almost causing the veteran guard to fly into the seats.

The two of them would give their signature handshake and speak for a while.

Dijonai Carrington, who went viral showing off her nipple piercings during her first game with the Lynx, was traded to Minnesota last month in a deal to recoup young players and draft assets to continue building for the future.

During her short time in Dallas, she made a connection with Paige Bueckers.

“We got extremely close, she kind of embraced my annoying side as a rookie,” Bueckers said after Monday’s game. “She just let me be me and annoy her, and we have a great relationship.”

Paige Bueckers Did All She Could Against Minnesota

The Minnesota Lynx, having already clinched the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, played against the Dallas Wings this week.

The Lynx secured a franchise record 32nd victory of the season in a 96-71 blowout of the Dallas Wings Monday night at Target Center in Minneapolis.

Paige Bueckers scored 17 points, two assists, and one rebound in the blowout loss.

Bueckers, who has previously been annoyed with Caitlin Clark questions, is now the sixth all-time in WNBA rookie points.

Bueckers has been everything they were hoping for and then some when they drafted her with the No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft.
