Chicago Sky star Angel Reese was in no mood to have the cameras focused on her during Sunday’s road loss to the Minnesota Lynx.
Angel Reese and the struggling Sky nearly upset the WNBA-best Lynx, losing 80-75 in a hard-fought affair. Minnesota (17-2) improved its perfect home record to 11-0, while Chicago fell to 5-12 on the season.
The Sky called a timeout with 22 seconds remaining and down 77-72. As the broadcast turned to Reese and teammate Elizabeth Williams, the WNBA rebounding leader made it clear she didn’t want the cameras on her:
As one of the WNBA’s most polarizing players, you can only imagine how many fans got a kick out of that. Angel Reese always finds a way to go viral on social media, but this was sure to really provide some chuckles for the critics.
Reese had one of her best performances of the season, recording 16 points, 17 rebounds and six assists in the loss. She’s leading the WNBA in rebounds by a healthy margin (averaging 12.6 points per game), with reigning rebounds leader A’Ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces a distant second (9.4 per game).

Reese and the Sky will try and get back on a winning track when they visit the Washington Mystics on Tuesday morning (11:30 a.m. EST). A day later, they’ll begin a pivotal four-game homestand against the Dallas Wings.
Chicago is 3.5 out of the final playoff spot, so they’re going to have to get on a hot run soon. Getting that started against an 8-10 Washington team would be a good start for Reese and company.
