How many Super Bowl rings does Patrick Mahomes have? Not as many as Tom Brady
The Super Bowl is in less than two weeks, which means the talk about Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has started.
One of the big talking points: Is he the new G.O.A.T?
“He’s [Mahomes] the greatest to ever do it. You can’t change my mind, otherwise,” Travis Kelce told ESPN’s Chris Berman earlier this week.
To get the title, he would have have to claim it from Tom Brady. And if we’re talking Super Bowl rings, Mahomes has a ways to go.
When is the Super Bowl? Who’s in it?
On Feb. 9, 2025, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles will be facing off inside Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, to see which team will become Super Bowl champions.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has never won a Super Bowl, but the Kansas City Chiefs are going for a three-peat.

Mahomes has three championship rings in total, as he won Super Bowl LIV in 2020, Super Bowl LVII in 2023 and, his most recent championship win, Super Bowl LVIII in 2024.
In his most recent Super Bowl win, he and the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in the one of only two Super Bowl that went into overtime. The only other Super Bowl to go into overtime took place in was Super Bowl LI in 2017, where the New England Patriots beat the Atlanta Falcons.
However, Mahomes is far from the player with the most Super Bowl rings. That honor goes to Tom Brady.
How many championship rings does Tom Brady have?
Brady has seven championship rings, having won Super Bowl XXXVI in 2002, Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004, Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005, Super Bowl XLIX in 2015, Super Bowl LI in 2017, Super Bowl LIII in 2019 and Super Bowl LV in 2021.
Brady won Super Bowl LV as part of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the rest he won as part of the Patriots.
