Caitlin Clark’s arrival in the WNBA has had a telling effect, enough to meet the eye. However, the numbers tell their own story.

The former Iowa star, who entered the league as the No. 1 overall pick in April, has already made the Indiana Fever the most popular team in women’s basketball and has prompted unprecedented viewership numbers throughout the campaign.

The Fever are the most-followed WNBA team on Instagram right now, a notable sign. A report from Sports Media Watch has also pointed out that 13 WNBA games have broken viewership numbers this season, with Indiana involved in all but one.

The matchup attracting the most views came on Sunday as the Fever played the Chicago Sky for the third time since the beginning of the term.

The only top-viewed game of the season that did not feature Clark was the one between the Minnesota Lynx and the New York Liberty in May.

Caitlin Clark’s Games Against Chicago Have Been Treated Like Must-See TV

Clark and rival Angel Reese are two of the most popular players in basketball right now, but the former is on a pedestal as she brought 2.12 million viewers for her pro debut, while a game against Chicago earlier this month attracted 2.25 million. Of course, Reese is partly responsible for the latter.

The WNBA has experienced a huge change in fortunes since Caitlin Clark got drafted, and it’s going to be interesting to see how her career pans out.

On another note, Clark’s career hasn’t gotten off to the brightest of starts as she’s found wins hard to come by, although the Fever have been better in recent games, with their loss to the Sky on Sunday marginal.
