A couple of members of the Indiana Fever participated in a pickleball tournament on Sunday, including Caitlin Clark, Lexie Hull, and Erica Wheeler. There were also pictures released on X of siblings and partners in attendance.
During the tournament, Clark posted a picture of Hull, completely roasting the Fever guard.
“My names Lexie and I’m a try hard,” said Clark via her Instagram story.
Some fans thought Clark was talking about Hull’s outfit since she was wearing an athletic gym dress that looked like a tennis fit. Others believed Clark was calling out Hull for her competitiveness, even though Clark has been known for her ambitious demeanor on the basketball court.
Clark and the Fever continue to grow week by week. They started the season with a 2-9 record but have since gained momentum as team chemistry has visibly improved.
Indiana currently sits as the No. 4 team in the Eastern Conference standings with a 9-13 record. They’re fresh off an 83-78 victory against the New York Liberty, securing their second win against a team above .500 this season.

While the Fever have seen clear struggles in terms of efficiency, defense, and late-game adjustments, they’re a young team that needs time to develop. Hull is 24 years old, while Clark is 22, so it’s clear they’re building from the ground up.
Indiana will be back on the hardwood on Wednesday at Noon ET against the Washington Mystics.
