The incident between Karmelo Anthony and Austin Metcalf has already separated social media over racial lines, and it is likely to only get worse.
Metcalf was stabbed and killed at a track meet on April 2. In addition to track and field, he was a linebacker on the Memorial High School football team.
On April 2, the 17-year-old was killed at a UIL District 11-5A track meet at Kuykendall Stadium.
Police said a student from Centennial High School in Frisco, 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony, stabbed Metcalf in the chest during a fight over where he was seated.
Athletic trainers told first responders Metcalf was not conscious and not breathing, and despite performing lifesaving measures on the wounded victim, from CPR to blood administration, the teen died at the scene.
Anthony was arrested and is now charged with first-degree murder and is in the Collin County jail on a $1 million bond.
Now, there is a report that footage of the incident has been obtained.
“Authorities have reportedly collected video evidence of the confrontation between two Texas teens that resulted in a fatal stabbing during a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas, on April 2,” per The Post Millennial.
Police said Anthony allegedly confessed to the killing on claims of self-defense.

In the high-profile killing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf, Karmelo has made a huge decision.
Anthony, a 17-year-old student at Frisco Centennial High School, was arrested and charged with the murder of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf.
Anthony was previously represented by attorneys Billy Clark and Kim T. Cole.
On Monday, 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony is due in court for a bond reduction hearing as his family has hired a new attorney to represent him.
