Caitlin Clark Fires Back at Racist and Misogynist Fans with Two Words

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark does her best to focus on basketball and avoid the outside noise.

However, the online culture war lingering since she entered the WNBA erupted after she didn’t earn a spot on Team USA’s Olympic roster.

Before the Fever defeated the Atlanta Dream on Thursday, June 13, Clark was directly asked about people using her name to further a misogynistic and racist agenda.

The 22-year-old kept her message crystal clear.

“It’s disappointing,” she told reporters.

“Everybody in our world deserves the same amount of respect. The women in our league deserve the same amount of respect.”

“People should not be using my name to push those agendas,” Clark continued. “It’s not acceptable.” Overall, the level of hate surrounding the WNBA is disheartening for Clark.

“This league is a league I grew up admiring and wanting to be part of. Some of the women in this league were my biggest idols and role models growing up and helped me want to achieve this moment right here, that I get to play in every single night.

“Just be a kind person and treat them how you want to be treated. It’s that simple.”
